Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) in Lucknow has established mechanisms to support student placements and maintain active engagement with its alumni network.​

Placements:

The Central Placement Cell (CPC) at BBAU facilitates employment opportunities for students by organizing campus recruitment drives and providing career guidance. The CPC regularly updates its activities and placement records on the university's official website. ​

According to the university's Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for 2021-2022, 37 students secured placements during that academic year. ​

Specific examples of student placements include:​

• Sakshi Mishra (2022): M.Sc. in Geology, placed at IIT Roorkee with a package of ₹2,40,000 per annum.​
• Anuj Singh (2022): B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology, employed at Post Office, Jhansi, with a package of ₹3,00,000 per annum
• Abhishek Kumar Singh (2022): M.Sc. in Geology, working as a Field Geologist at Jaiprakash Associates with a package of ₹3,24,000 per annum. ​

Additionally, the Department of Statistics reports that in 2023, Dhruv Dixit (M.Sc. in Applied Statistics) and Ratan Kumar Thakur (Ph.D. in Statistics) were selected for positions in the Government of India through UPSC examinations.  

Alumni Engagement:

BBAU maintains an active relationship with its alumni through the Alumni Association, which was registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The association aims to:​

• Unite former students for the exchange of experiences and knowledge
• Promote fellowship and scientific knowledge among members.  

The university has organized several alumni meets, including:​

• 1st Alumni Meet: January 26, 2014
• 2nd Alumni Meet: November 28, 2014
• 3rd Alumni Meet: January 10-11, 2020.  

These events facilitate networking and collaboration among alumni and current students.​
