Chandigarh University (CU) was established in 2012 in Gharuan, Mohali (Punjab), near Chandigarh. It is a private university, founded under the Punjab State Legislature Act and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Despite being relatively new, CU has grown rapidly to become one of India’s most prominent private universities. It follows an industry-oriented academic model, blending education with practical exposure and global linkages. CU also holds the distinction of being the youngest university in India to be awarded an A+ grade by NAAC in its first accreditation cycle.
