Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, by Dr. Achyuta Samanta. It started as a small vocational training center with only 12 students and evolved rapidly into a multidisciplinary university. By 1997, KIIT began offering degree programs, and in 2004, it was granted the status of Deemed-to-be University. Today, KIIT is a comprehensive institution offering programs in engineering, medicine, law, management, biotechnology, film studies, fashion, and more. It hosts over 40,000 students from all Indian states and over 65 countries, making it one of the most diverse and dynamic private universities in India.
