St. Aloysius College (officially recognized now as a Deemed University) is a prestigious Jesuit institution located in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India. Established in 1880, it has a rich legacy of providing high-quality education across a wide range of disciplines.​


Founded by nine Jesuit missionaries, St. Aloysius College started its journey affiliated to the University of Madras, later moving to Karnatak University in 1955. In 1980, it celebrated its centenary with then-President Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy. In 2002, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam inaugurated the Information Technology Block. Gaining autonomy in 2007, the college was conferred Deemed-to-be University status in 2024 — but it continues to be widely known and celebrated as St. Aloysius College.
