The University of Jammu, commonly referred to as Jammu University, is a prominent public university located in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India.

Established in 1969 under the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act, the University of Jammu came into existence following the bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir.

Situated at the foothills of the Trikuta range along the banks of the Tawi River, the university has grown to become a significant center for higher education in the region. It holds the distinction of being the first university in India to receive ISO-9001 certification. ​
