Gauhati University's Placement Cell actively collaborates with leading employers in both the public and private sectors to facilitate student placements. The placement season runs throughout the year, providing students with ample opportunities to engage with potential employers. ​

Undergraduate (UG) Programs:

In the 2022 placement drive, out of 120 UG students, 58 were placed, while 57 opted for higher studies.  

Median Salary: Between INR 3.2 LPA to INR 4.4 LPA

Postgraduate (PG) Programs:

In the 2023-2024 placement season, 405 students from the 2-year PG programs were placed with a median salary of INR 9.5 LPA. ​

For the 5-year PG programs, 21 students were placed with a median salary of INR 4.65 LPA

Overall Placements:

In 2022, a total of 569 students were placed across various UG and PG courses.
